About Colrain, MA
Located in Franklin County, north of Shelburne Falls, Colrain is a scenic village with rolling farmland, orchards and a winery. During the last census the population was around 1600.
The area was first settled in 1735 and officially incorporated in 1761. Covering 43 square miles, it is the second largest community in the county. There are nine historic village areas and much of the towns land are lies outside of these village.
Colrain is a member of the Mohwak Trail Regional School District, which covers all levels of education in the area. The nearest community college is located in Greenfield.
