Image License Guide
Image licensing can be a complicated topic, so we wanted to summarize what you can and can’t do with the images from your photo session.
Things you can use the images for
- Any activity directly related to the sale or rental of the property, including use on MLS, social media, online magazines or print media.
- When the property is sold, share up to 3 images with the Buyers-Agent for the use to advertise the success of the transaction.
- Use images a second or third time when you get rehired to sell a property again.
- Share the images with the home owner for non-commercial use.
- Get reimbursed by the home owner for the cost of the images (however, they can’t use the images for commercial purposes)
Things you aren’t Allowed to Do with the Images
- Share the images with third parties for commercial use: - E.g. contractors can’t use them to advertise for their work on their homepage
- E.g. the home owner can’t use them to advertise for rental of the home

- Share images with another agent to promote their listing.
- Sell images to any third party, including other agents or home owners.
- Use the images for general marketing activities for your brand without direct connection to the sale/rental of a property: - E.g. use “neutral” landscape images in a seasonal newsletter
- E.g. promote an agencies general work on their website.
